On Tuesday, September 10, 2013 at about 1:45 am a Waterloo Police Officer on patrol reported hearing several gunshots in the area of Niles and Lakeside Street. Responding Officers attempted to stop a vehicle leaving the area. A vehicle pursuit ensued with the driver losing control of the vehicle at E. 4th and Lousie Street. Three suspects fled the vehicle on foot and were apprehended after a brief foot pursuit. The suspects were identified as 21 year old Mitchell Berry, 21 year old Jalen Holt and 21 year old Christopher Roby all of Waterloo.

During the investigation Officers learned the occupied residence at 4015 Niles Street had been struck multiple times by gunshots and located .22 caliber and .40 caliber casings near the residence. Officers also located a .40 caliber handgun and a .22 caliber handgun along the path traveled by the suspects during the foot pursuit.

The suspects were all charged with Conspiracy to Intimidate with a Dangerous Weapon in connection to this case and booked into the Black Hawk County Jail. Chris Roby was charged with an additional charge of Interference With Official Acts.

No further information is being released at this time as this is an on-going investigation.
