Captain Timothy Pillack is the Investigations Division Commander and has been since March of 2008.  He has been with the Waterloo Police Department since 1979.

He is responsible for the operations of the Investigations Division., including the Investigations Unit, the Tri-County Drug Enforcement Task Force and the Property / Evidence Unit.

He has also served the department in the Patrol Divsion, the Investigations Unit, the School Resource Unit, the Tactical Team, the Drug Crime Unit, the Internal Affairs Unit, and the Tri-County Drug Enforcement Task Force.

Captain Pillack is a Past President of the Iowa State Police Association and sits on the Family and Children's Council Board, the Northeast Iowa Juvenile Detention Board and the Black Hawk County Disproportionate Minority Contact Task Force.  He is a graduate of the FBI National Academy, Session #224.

He holds a Associate of Arts Degree in Police Science from Hawkeye Institute of Technology and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Criminal Justice from Northeast Missouri State University.
