WATERLOO POLICE INVESTIGATE CONVENIENCE STORE ROBBERY

On November 6, 2008 at approximately 9:42 P.M., Waterloo Police Officers responded to a report of an armed robbery at The Kwik Stop, located at 1761 Independence Avenue. The robbery was reported after three black males entered the convenience store and one displayed a handgun. They demanded cash from the clerk and also took a cellular phone from a customer at gunpoint. The suspects then fled the store with an undisclosed amount of money. All three were wearing hooded sweatshirts.

No injuries were reported. The incident remains under investigation.
