Waterloo Police Arrest Six Following Burglary/Robbery Investigation
Monday, 02 February 2009 11:25

On Monday, February 2, 2009 around 3:00 A.M., Waterloo Police Officers were sent to 3103 Cedar Knoll Circle in Waterloo on the report of an assault in progress.  Prior to officer's arrival, six persons involved in this incident fled the area in a vehicle, which was stopped by a Black Hawk County Sheriff's Deputy near the scene.

During the investigation officers learned that the six suspects conspired to go to this residence with intentions of robbing the occupants of cash and drugs.  The suspects were armed with a baseball bat, a hammer and a PR-24 police baton.  Once in the residence the suspects assaulted two occupants, but did not locate any drugs or cash.  The two occupants received minor injuries, which did not require hospitalization.

The following persons have been charged with Burglary in the First Degree:

Matthew Raven Delagardelle, age 19, of 8605 McStay Road in LaPorte City, Iowa.

Teylor Ross Trent, age 18, of 1104 College Street in Cedar Falls, Iowa.

Sean Aaron Berg, age 18, of 2317 West Ridgeway Avenue in Cedar Falls, Iowa.

Ashley Robert Tudor, age 27, of 509-204 Montero Drive in Waterloo, Iowa.

Matthew Vincent Lumetta, age 18, of 108 Kaspend Place in Cedar Falls, Iowa.

Edwardo Basurto, age 19, of 116 Marsh Street in Waterloo, Iowa.

All six suspects are presently being held in the Black Hawk County Jail.  No pictures of the suspects are available at this time as this is an ongoing investigation.
