On June 12, 2009 at approximately 1 a.m., Waterloo Police Officers responded to a report of an armed robbery at Liquor and Tobacco, located at 508 Broadway Street. Officers learned that a black male entered the store with a shotgun and demanded money. He then discharged the shotgun into the wall, next to the clerk. The suspect then fled the store with an undisclosed amount of cash.

 The suspect is described as a black male in his early twenties, approximately six foot tall and slender build. The suspect was wearing black clothing.

There were no injuries reported and the incident remains under investigation.
