On Wednesday, May 26, 2010, at approximately 4:00 p.m., Waterloo Police Officers located a subject who reported that he had been shot in the vicinity of 833 West 2^nd Street.  The victim was identified as Warren Darnail Jefferson-Bey, of Waterloo.  Jefferson-Bey was transported to Covenant Medical Center, for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.  Jefferson-Bey was later transferred to the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics.

 

The suspect, Anna Marie Bunch, also of Waterloo, was seen entering a residence in the area of West 9^th Street and Grant. Waterloo Police Officers secured the area around the residence and attempted to make contact with Bunch.  Officers located Bunch who was taken into custody without further incident.

 

Charges are pending against Anna Marie Bunch.  The incident remains under investigation.
