On December 28, 2010 at approximately 11:25 AM, Waterloo Police were sent to 1334 Meadow Lane, Apartment G, on report of an argument between a female and a male and the male had a gun.

Officers investigated the complaint and arrested James Edward Alexander of 1334 Meadow lane, Apartment G. He was charged with Domestic Assault-Aggravated and Possession of a Firearm as a Felon. Police recovered a .380 semi-automatic handgun.

Alexander is currently being held in the Black Hawk County Jail.
