Lieutenant Monty Frana is the Watch II Commander.  He has been with the Waterloo Police Department since 1996.

He is responsible for the day-to-day operations of Watch II Patrol, covering the hours of 3PM-11PM.

He has also served as a Supervisor for the Patrol Division, the Citizen Response Unit, the
Tri-County-Drug-Enforcement-Task-Force, the Law Enforcement Intelligence Network,
and the Tactical Unit. 

Other duties and assignments include, Lead Firearms Instructor, Pistol and Rifle Armorer,
Tri-County-Drug-Enforcement-Task-Force Investigator, Drug Crime Unit Officer,
Tactical Team Officer, & Patrol Officer.

Lieutenant Frana is a graduate from the North Iowa Area Community College with an Associates Degree
and also a graduate from the Iowa Law Enforcement Academy.
