On January 31, 2011 at approximately 3:47 AM, Waterloo Fire Rescue and Waterloo Police were dispatched to 2861 Logan Avenue on report of a house fire. One woman died in the fire and two other people, one male and one female, were injured.

The fire fatality has been identified as Sandra Jo Nash, age 57, of 2861 Logan Avenue, Waterloo, IA. The cause of death is unknown. There is an autopsy scheduled for tomorrow at 9:00 AM.
