On May 22, 2011,at approximately 1:56 PM, members of the Waterloo Police Violent Crime Apprehension Team (VCAT) stopped a vehicle at West 3rd and Western Avenue for a traffic violation. During the search of the vehicle, officers located a gun on the rear seat. The gun was .22-caliber revolver.

Taken into custody was Vincent Demario Harrington, age 17, of 52 E. Parker Avenue, Waterloo, IA. He was charged with Carrying Weapons and Possession of a Firearm by a Felon. He is currently being held in the Black Hawk County Jail on $7,000.00 bond.
