On Thursday, October 06, 2011, at approximately 11:49 p.m., Waterloo Police Officers were dispatched to a one-vehicle collision at the intersection of Lafayette St. and Nevada St. Upon arrival, Police Officers made contact with a witness to the collision who advised that he was assaulted by the two occupants of the vehicle involved in the collision.

The victim, a sixty-year-old man, received a fractured nose and broken arm as a result of the assault. The injury to the victim’s arm, required surgery. The victim reported that he was beat with his own cane.

On this date, Waterloo Police Officers located the two occupants of the motor vehicle involved in the collision and placed them under arrest.

Zachary Ackerman (d.o.b. 4/27/86), of 171 Oakridge Road, was charged with Willful Injury, a C-Felony, and 2nd Degree Burglary.

Matthew Stacey (d.o.b. 3/6/84), of 5325 Weiden Road, was charged with Willful Injury, a C-Felony.
