Officers with the Waterloo Police Department's Violent Crime Apprehension Team (VCAT) and patrol division apprehended two subjects on the Black Hawk County Sheriff's "Most Wanted "list over the weekend.  On January 5, 2013 Officers made contact at 1612 Ackermant St. to serve arrest warrants on thirty-nine-year-old Jason Allen Wirtz of Waterloo.  Wirtz had multiple no bond probation warrants for his arrest including a voluntary absence.  Officers located Wirtz hiding in the basement of the residence where he was taken into custody during the incident.

On January 6, 2013 Waterloo Officers made contact at 3401 Cobblestone Apartment number four reference a warrant service for twenty-three-year-old Zachary Matthew Miller of Waterloo.  Miller was wanted on a felony probation violation warrant with a $40,000 bond.  Miller was located and taken into custody without incident.

Both subjects are being held at the Black Hawk County Jail.
