Patch

On August 2, 2013 at approximately 2308hrs, Officers with the Waterloo Police Department’s Violent Crime Apprehension team were conducting foot patrol in the parking lot of an apartment complex located at 65 Conger St. At that time Officers observed several subjects in the parking lot along with a subject sitting in the backseat of a vehicle. Officers recognized the subject in the backseat as twenty-year-old Patrelle Jose Green-Bowman of Waterloo.

Green-Bowman exited the vehicle and began walking away from the vehicle as Officers approached. As Officers neared the vehicle, they observed a sawed-off shotgun in plain view in the backseat where Green-Bowman was sitting. Officers then took Green-Bowman into custody. During the investigation Officers determined the shotgun was loaded and the modified barrel was classified the firearm as an offensive weapon.

Green-Bowman was booked into the Black Hawk County Jail on felony charges for felon in possession of a firearm and possession of an offensive weapon.
