On Tuesday, October 29, 2012, at approximately 8:53 PM, the Tri-County Drug Enforcement Task Force and the Black Hawk County Sheriff's Office K-9 unit conducted a traffic stop on Interstate 380 Northbound near the Gilbertville Exit. The driver was Tyangus Antwion Mitchell, age 37, of Waterloo. During a search of the vehicle, Investigators located over 20 pounds of marijuana in the trunk.

Later that evening, Investigators with the Tri-County Drug Enforcement Task executed a search warrant at 241 Unity Square, Waterloo, the residence of Tyangus Mitchell. During the search, Investigators located a large quantity of "Molly" which is a pure form of MDMA also known as Ecstasy.

Mitchell was arrested and taken to the Black Hawk County jail. Mitchell was charged with: Possession with intent to deliver marijuana, Possession with intent to deliver over 5 grams of Ecstasy and two counts of Drug Tax Stamp violation.  The Tri-County Drug Enforcement Task Force was assisted by the Waterloo Police Department and the Black Hawk County Sheriff's Office.
