On April 21, 2014, Waterloo Police received a report of a burglary on William Drive. During the burglary several guns, jewelry, shoes and video games were taken. The follow-up investigation lead to the arrest of four juveniles involved in the burglary:

John McCarthy Fitzpatrick, age 14, of 1925 Audubon Drive, Waterloo.

Alex Michael Bullerman, age 15, of 432 Kingbard Boulevard, Waterloo.

Nervedin Mrzljak, age 17, of 730 Russell Road, Apartment # 8, Waterloo.

Myles Davion Anderson, age 15, of 3007 Ansborough Avenue, Waterloo.

All four were charged with Theft in the First degree, Burglary in the Second degree and Trafficking in Stolen Weapons.

Also charged in the case was Darrius Deshon Redd, age 26, of 1009 West Mullan Avenue, Waterloo, IA. He was charged with 9 counts of Trafficking in Stolen Weapons and 9 counts of Possession of Weapons as a felon.  The juveniles traded the guns to Redd for money and narcotics.
