On Tuesday May 20th 2014 at 1:45 P.M. Waterloo Fire Rescue and the Waterloo Police Department responded to an apartment fire at 216 Brookeridge Drive, Apt #4. Upon further investigation of the fire, Investigators with the Tri-County Drug Enforcement determined that a portable methamphetamine lab inside the apartment had caught fire.

Two occupants where in the apartment at the time of the fire. A male occupant, Andy Archambault, age 51, was transported by ambulance to Covenant Medical Center and later air lifted to Iowa City Hospitals. His condition is not known at this time. A female occupant Andrea Archambault, age 47, was not injured. This case remains under investigation.
