On December 30, 2014 the Marshalltown Police Department alerted the Waterloo Police Department that they were looking for a suspect of an armed robbery of the Kum and Go Convenience Store in Marshalltown that occurred on December 20, 2014.

 

The Marshalltown Police Department had warrants for Robbery 1st Degree and Going Armed with Intent for Davante Richard Lee Hines, age 21, and it was believed that he was staying at a Waterloo residence.

 

Members of the Violent Crime Apprehension Team located Davante Hines in the 700 block of Hammond Avenue, and after a short foot pursuit he was taken into custody.

 

Hines was transported to the Black Hawk County Jail where he was booked on those warrants as well as an additional charge of Interference with Official Acts for fleeing on foot.
