On Thursday, January 01, 2015, James Robert Ernst II, DOB-10/28/89 was placed under arrest for an arrest warrant charging him with Murder 1st. Waterloo Police investigators issued the arrest warrant on Ernst on 12/26/14, stemming from a December 6th shooting at 508 Broadway St. Waterloo, IA. Waterloo investigators, in a cooperative effort with the Cedar Rapids Police Department, led the Cedar Rapids Police Department to 264 15thSt.NW Cedar Rapids, IA, where Ernst was taken into custody without incident. Ernst was taken to the Linn County Jail where the warrant was served.
