Patch

The Waterloo Police Department has received three separate reports during February 4th and 5th, 2015 involving lone teenage females that were approached by a man in a car offering them a ride.

In the three incidents the teenagers were walking alone in the neighborhood of Argyle Street between Logan and E. 4th Street. The suspect pulled up to each of the teenagers and offered them a ride. In one instance the suspect followed her for several blocks when she refused. The suspect was a stranger to all three girls. No injuries were reported.

The suspect is described as a black male, 20 to 30 years of age, short hair with goatee or scruffy type beard. The vehicle is described as a foreign type car; Honda, Hyundai, or Toyota that is dark red or maroon in color. No license plate information was obtained by the victims.

The Waterloo Police Department is requesting the public’s assistance in trying to identify a suspect and/or a vehicle. If you have any information about these incidents or see a vehicle with a driver that matches the description, please get the license plate number and contact the Waterloo Police Department at 319-291-2515.
