Patch

The Waterloo Police Department will be participating in a state-wide traffic enforcement project this St. Patrick’s Day holiday weekend, March 15-17, 2015.

Emphasis will be placed on keeping our communities safe and sober this weekend and the police department would like to offer the following tips:

Don’t risk it – If you plan to drive, don’t drink or use any drugs.

Choose a sober designated driver before celebrating.

Take mass transit, a taxicab or ask a friend to drive you home.

           Always wear your safety belt.

           Do not text while driving.

Whether you’re buzzed or drunk, it doesn’t matter. Buzzed driving is Drunk Driving – drive sober.

The Waterloo Police Department hopes everyone has a fun and safe St. Patrick’s Day weekend.

Funding for this project comes from a Governor’s Traffic Safety Bureau Grant.
