On March 20, 2015 at 04:29 hrs the Waterloo Police Department responded to a report of an assault at 1607 Randolph St.  On arrival to this location officers learned that Roosevelt Aldridge, age 50, had sustained a stab wound.  Aldridge was transported to Covenant Hospital by Waterloo Fire and Rescue.

A short time later Aldridge was pronounced dead at Covenant Hospital.

At this time it is believed that all parties in this incident knew one another and have been identified.

An autopsy is scheduled to be conducted on March 21, 2015 by the State Medical Examiner.

No arrests have been made and this case is currently under investigation.

No further information will be released until after the completion of the autopsy.
