The Waterloo Police Department has received several complaints from residence in this area, who have received phone calls that are fraudulant in nature. These phone scam callers are telling people that they have a warrant for their arrest and need to call a certain number. Other callers have stated that "Tony Thompson" has an arrest warrant for their arrest and to call a number. Still others have informed the person they were awarded a Grant.

These phone scam callers make themselves sound like they are from a legitiment Government Agency. Please under NO circumstances, return these calls or provide the caller with any personal information. If your phone will allow, block the numbers so these Phone Scam Callers cannot call again.
