On October 29th, 2015 Waterloo Police Officer Adam Liddle (age 35) died suddenly of an unknown medical trauma. Officer Liddle was a 3 year veteran of the Waterloo Police Department and had worked previously for the Black Hawk County Sheriff’s Office.    

Officer Liddle last worked 2nd Watch from 3PM to 11 PM on the 28th of October. His death will be reviewed to determine if it meets the criteria as outlined in the Hometown Heroes Act as a line of duty death.  

Officer Liddle was married and had a 10 year old son.   Officer Liddle was an outstanding asset of the Waterloo Police Department and proudly served the citizens of Waterloo.   He will be missed by many.
