On December 15, 2016 at approximately 1949 hours officers were dispatched to the 1200 block of W Mullan Ave. on a report of shots fired. During the investigation it was determined the residence of 1241 W Mullan Ave. had been shot several times. As a result a 9 year old child lying on the couch in the residence was struck in the hip by one of the bullets. His injury is non-life threatening.

Officers located evidence at the scene to include multiple shell casings. In talking with witnesses a vehicle and suspect description were obtained. As the investigation continued the suspect vehicle and shooting suspects were identified.

In the early morning hours of December 16th, the Waterloo Police Departments Tactical Unit took two suspects into custody at a Waterloo residence. Taken into custody was Maryo D. Lindsey (age 21) and Aundrey Frequel Roberts Jr (age 23), both of Waterloo.

Maryo Doyuan Lindsey was charged with Going Armed with Intent, Willful Bodily Injury, Carrying Weapons, Possession of Weapons by a Felon, and Intimidation with a Weapon.

Aundrey Frequel Roberts Jr was charged with Willful Bodily Injury and Intimidation with a Weapon.

No additional information will be released at this time as the incident remains under investigation.
