On Saturday, May 19, 2018 at approximately 12:13 AM Waterloo Police Officers responded to several shots fired in the area of 1300 blk of E. 4th Street, Waterloo.  As they checked the area they located the area of the shooting in the area of Linn and Cottage.   As a result of this investigation 2 victims suffered nonlife-threatening gunshot wounds and a vehicle sustained damage.  

At approximately 4:36 AM officers responded to the area of the 1600 block of Sycamore on report of someone hearing gunshots.   While investigating this matter they were notified of a shooting victim at Allen Hospital with nonlife-threatening injuries that were sustained as a result of this shooting.

At approximately 5:16 AM officers responded to 639 Gable on a report of shots fired call.   When the officers arrived they located a victim inside the residence suffering from a serious gunshot wound.   The victim was taken by Waterloo Fire Rescue to Allen Hospital where he later died.
