The Waterloo Police Department responded to a traffic accident on June 14, 2009 at 0201 hours in the 1400 block of Hawthorne Ave.
On arrival Officer determined that a vehicle was travelling west on Hawthrone, when the vehicle left the roadway and hit a tree. The driver, a 24 year old male was dead at the scene.
The Waterloo Police Department continues to investigate the accident. The name of the driver will be released pending notification of family.
No other information is available at this time.
