Patch

During the 4th of July holiday weekend Waterloo Police Department officers will conduct a special traffic enforcement project.  Traffic enforcement efforts will focus on impaired driving, speeding and seat belt violations, especially between the hours of 9 pm and 3 am.

According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Bureau, drunk driving is one of America's deadliest problems.  Officers are asking the motoring public to buckle up, slow down and drive sober.

Funding for this project is from a grant provided by the Iowa Governor's Traffic Safety Bureau.
