Four juveniles have been charged with Criminal Mischief in the Second Degree for several vandalisms in Waterloo over the last two days.

Taken into custody were:
Bruce Mitchell Timmer, age 16 of Waterloo
Nathaniel Taylon Matlock, age 13 of Waterloo
Anthony Christian Cervantes, age 14 of Waterloo
Johnathon Patrick Dahlgard, age 17 of Waterloo

The four were involved in shooting out car windows on twenty-two (22) separate vehicles. The total amount of damage is still being determined, but Criminal Mischief in the Second Degree is for property damage that exceeds one thousand dollars but does not exceed ten thousand dollars.

Police obtained a description of the suspect vehicle and broadcast it to area law enforcement agencies. The vehicle was spotted by an Iowa State Patrol Trooper and after a short pursuit, the vehicle was stopped at Donald and Idaho. The four were taken into custody and police recovered a BB gun, BB's and CO2 cartridges.

The four were booked in at the Black Hawk County Jail and then released to a parent or guardian.
