On Friday July 15, 2011 Officers with the Waterloo Police Department's Violent Crimes Apprehension Team (VCAT) received information as to the location of twenty-year-old Joshua Jermaine Douglas.  During the investigation Officers determined Douglas was staying in room number 245 at the Econolodge located at 3350 University Ave.  Upon making contact at the hotel, Douglas attempted to jump out of the second story window to avoid apprehension until observing Officers outside.  Douglas eventually came to the door and gave up.  Douglas was taken into custody on multiple arrest warrants related to a shooting that occurred in the area of Linn/Adams St. on July 6, 2011.  Douglas was booked at the Black Hawk County Jail on warrants for going armed with intent, Intimidation with a dangerous weapon, carrying weapons and possession of marijuana.  Douglas was also booked on probation violation warrants on this date.
