Police Investigate Motor Vehicle vs Bicycle Accident

On Wednesday August 10th, 2011 Waterloo Police were sent to a motor vehicle accident involving a 6-year-old boy riding a bicycle. Officers learned a motor vehicle struck the boy while he was crossing the street at the intersection of Lafayette and Vinton.

The boy was 1st transported to Allen Hospital and later flown to Iowa City. He did receive serious injuries but they are not believed to be life threatening. The details of this accident are currently under investigation and no other details are available at this time.
