Waterloo Police Investigate Shooting Incident

On Saturday, August 25, 2012, at approximately 3:19 a.m., Waterloo Police Officers were dispatched to the 500 block of Reed St. on the report of shots fired. A short time later a shooting victim arrived at the Allen Hospital Emergency Room by private vehicle.

The initial investigation revealed that the shooting took place in the front yard of 520 Reed St. The victim was identified as Durell Johnson (d.o.b. 12/26/83), of 653 Boston Ave. Johnson was treated for non-life threatening injuries.

The investigation continues at this time.
