Man threatens woman with a knife

On Monday, February 27, 2012, at 4:00 AM, Waterloo Police responded to 87 Mulberry on report of an assault. The victim, a 41-year-old female, stated that she had been kicked in the head and punched in the mouth by the suspect. The suspect also displayed a knife and threatened her with it. The knife was recovered at the scene.

The suspect, Octavius Terrell Hammond, age 33, of Waterloo was located and arrested at the bus stop at East Park Avenue and Sycamore Street. He was charged with Aggravated Assault DA, Violation of a No Contact Order and False Imprisonment.  

The victim was treated at a local hospital for minor injuries.
