Police investigate a suspicious death

On Thursday, November 3, 2011, at approximately 6:23 PM, Waterloo Fire Rescue and Waterloo Police were dispatched to 200 Lafayette Street, Apartment #5, Waterloo on an unknown medical problem.

The resident, Tai-Lin Rai Phillips, age 41, of 200 Lafayette Street, #5, was found unresponsive on the bathroom floor. Phillips was transported to Allen Memorial Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

An autopsy is scheduled for today in Ankeny.
