Man dies in fire

On Thursday, September 8, 2011, at approximately 4:00 AM, Waterloo Fire Rescue and Waterloo Police were dispatched to 118 Shilliam Avenue on report of a fire.

Personnel arrived and found the house in flames. The fire was extinguished and upon entering the house, firefighters found a body in the bedroom.

The fire victim has been identified as Isaiah Labeaux, Jr. age 66, of 118 Shilliam Avenue, Waterloo, IA. The investigation continues, but no foul play is suspected.
