On Saturday, May 26th, 2018 at approximately 5:40 PM Waterloo Police and Waterloo Fire Rescue responded to a motor vehicle accident near the intersection of Martin Luther King Drive and Mobile Street. Investigation into this matter determined a passenger vehicle traveling north on Martin Luther King Drive collided with a motorcycle traveling south on Martin Luther King Drive near the intersection of Mobile. The driver of the motorcycle, Courtland Vanarsdale age 42 of Waterloo, and a passenger in the car, Tyah M. Hoskins age 20 of Cedar Falls died as a result of the accident.
This accident remains under investigation.
