Patch

On Thursday, December 13, 2018 the Waterloo Police and other agencies in Iowa have received reports of bomb threats.   These threats came as emails to several area businesses and continue to appear in various inboxes.   The threats are generally generic in nature, do not mention the company name or an exact location and ask for money or bitcoin.   Area law enforcement agencies have spoken with Federal authorities and found that this is/has occurred throughout Iowa and the Country.

Local and Federal Law Enforcement are currently investigating these threats and if you have information relevant to the investigation you can contact your local law enforcement agency or the FBI at https:tips.fbi.gov.

Waterloo Police have responded to 6 reports from Waterloo businesses today.
