On July 14, 2021 at about 12:37 AM Waterloo Police were sent to 1760 Newell St. on report of a robbery in progress.   Officers were told there were two suspects armed with handguns and victims were still inside the residence.   As officers arrived on scene they saw the suspects wearing masks inside the residence.   Officers secured the area and began to communicate with the suspects, convincing them to come outside and surrender to police.   The suspects were identified as Patrick R. Isabell age 18 and a 17 year old male.   Both suspects were taken into custody and charged with 1st Degree Robbery, 1st Degree Burglary and Going Armed with Intent.   A handgun, along with masks and gloves were recovered from inside the residence.   There were no injuries as a result of this incident.

A Criminal Charge/Warrant is merely an accusation and a defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
