Patch

The Waterloo Police Department is asking people to please avoid unnecessary travel around the city where there is significant storm damage. There are many trees and wires that are down. Some are covering streets and sidewalks. This can present great risk to you and others. City resources along with MidAmerican are doing our best to make these areas safe along with clearing the roadways the best we can. Please help us by avoiding these areas, and staying away from down wires. With darkness taking place, it will be hard to see wires and or down trees. Please take great caution if you must go out tonight. Please be safe and avoid these areas. This will greatly help Public Safety & other critical service entities in doing their jobs. Thank you.
