Waterloo Police responded to the Kwik Stop located at 1104 Washington Street on a report of a man bleeding who was possibly shot.  Responding Officers located a person identified as 28 year old Jeromy Griffith who was bleeding from an injury to his right arm and neck.  Griffith, who appeared to be intoxicated, told responding Officers he had been shot. Griffith was transported to Allen Memorial Hospital for treatment of his injuries where he was treated and released. During the investigation into the incident it was found that Griffith's injuries were not the result of a gunshot.  Further investigation determined that Griffith sustained his injuries while breaking into a residence located at 1124 Washington Street.  Jeromy Griffith was arrested and transported to the Black Hawk County jail where he was charged with Criminal Mishchief 4th degree, Criminal Trespass, Public Intoxication 3rd and Filing a false police report.
