Waterloo Police investigate an Aggravated Assault

On 01-29-2010, officers were dispatched to the 300 block of West 4th Street on report of a person down. Upon arrival, officers found Joe Thomas Lentz, age 54, of 135 Leonard Street, Evansdale lying on the ground. Lentz was unconscious and bleeding from a head injury.

Lentz was transported to Allen Hospital were he is currently in surgery. Police are interviewing witnesses, but no arrests have been made. Investigation continues.
