On 03-25-09 at 5:04 PM: Officers were sent to 611 1/2 West 6th Street on report of an assault in progress. The victim, Edin Zonix, age 43, stated that the suspect had assaulted him and threatened him with a knife. No one was injured, but a knife was recovered at the scene. Arrested was Mujkic Sead, age 46. He was charged with Aggravated Assault and Going Armed with Intent.

On 03-25-09 at 9:48 PM: Officers responded to an assault in progress at 3720 Memory Lane. It was also reported that the suspect had a knife. The victim, Lance Higuera, age 23, received a small laceration on the left wrist during the assault. The injury did not require medical attention. Arrested was Joseph Richard Mott, age 26. He has been charged with Burglary in the First Degree.

On 03-26-09 at 2:55 AM: Officers responded to 609 Rhey Street. The victim, George Coffer, stated that he was at home in bed when he heard some noise on the main floor. When the police arrived they found that the rear door to the residence had been kicked in. At this time, nothing is missing from the residence and no one was injured. The case remains under investigation.

On 03-26-09 at 3:50 AM: Officers responded to 145 Dearborn Avenue on report of a burglary that had just occurred. The victims, Trista Hill and Devon Parham, stated that several black males forced their way into the residence armed with weapons. Several items were taken. There were no injuries. A search warrant was executed at the residence and the crime scene is being processed. The case is active and the Investigators continue to interview witnesses.

On 03-26-09 at 4:45 AM: Officers responed to 223 Hope Street on report of a burglary that had just occured. The victims, Terrell Manning and Deshai Whitis, were at home in bed when several black males forced their way into the residence armed with weapons. Whitis was shot in the leg and is currently being treated at Allen Hospital. A search warrant was executed at the residence and the crime scene is being processed. This case is active and the Investigators continue to interview witnesses.
