The Waterloo Police Department has arrested four individuals in connection with two drive by shootings incidents that were reported Wednesday, December 30, 2009. 

In the first incident Officers responded to a report of shots fired at 1824 E. 4th Street at about 1:30 PM.  Later the same day Officers also responded to a report of shots fired in the 300 block of Sumner Street shortly before 8 PM.  During the investigation of this incident Officers found the residence at 418 Cottage Street had been struck by shotgun pellets.

The following individuals have been arrested in connection with these investigations:

Telly Lawon Nix, DOB 5/14/91-18years old of Waterloo was taken into custody on a $100,000 warrant for Possession of a firearm as a felon and carrying weapons related to the E.4th Street incident. He was charged with an additional charge of Intimidation with a Dangerous Weapon for the E.4th Street incident.   Nix was also charged with Intimidation with a Dangerous Weapon, Carrying Weapons and Felon in Possession of a Firearm in connection to the Cottage Street incident.

Jack Burnside, DOB 12/10/93-16 years old of Waterloo was arrested and charged with Intimidation with a Dangerous Weapon and Carrying Weapons in connection with the Cottage Street incident.

Adrian Reece Walker, DOB 1/8/93-16 year old of Waterloo was arrested and charged with Intimidation with a Dangerous Weapon and Carrying Weapons in connection with the Cottage Street incident.

Kenneth Maurice Ford, DOB 7/31/94-15 years old of Waterloo was arrested and charged with Intimidation with a Dangerous Weapon and Carrying Weapons also in connection with the Cottage Street incident.

These incidents remain under investigation.
