Tactical Unit
  • The Waterloo Police Department’s Tactical Unit responds to “high risk” situations with officers specially trained and equipped to handle potentially dangerous incidents
  • "High risk" incidents include but are not limited to; hostage Incidents, narcotics raids, hazardous surveillance, sniper incidents, armed suicidal person, barricaded suspect, felony warrant service, and fugitives refusing to surrender
