Shortly after 8pm, Thursday, January 5, 2011, Waterloo Police responded to a report of a gunshot victim at Allen Memorial Hospital. The victim was identified as 17-year-old Martavious Taveros Johnson of Waterloo. Johnson was transported by private vehicle to Allen where he died. The shooting is believed to have occurred in the 500 block of Sumner Street in Waterloo. An autopsy has been scheduled to determine the cause of death. No further details are being released at this time.
