The Waterloo Police Department, in cooperation with several other law enforcement agencies in Iowa, will be participating in a State Wide Special Traffic Enforcement Program.   There will be increased patrol and enforcement activity from March 15^th through March 18^th to ensure everyone has a safe and enjoyable St. Patrick’s Day Weekend.

Some holiday safety tips:

Designate a sober driver before you go out to drink

If you see a friend who is too drunk to drive, take their keys and call them a cab, or if you are sober, drive them home.

If you see a driver on the road that is obviously driving impaired, don’t hesitate to call your local law enforcement agency.
