Waterloo Police responded to a report of a fight in the area of W.3rd Street and Cedar Street at about 10:20 AM this morning.  Responding officers located 22 year old, Tara Lynn Meyer of Waterloo who was suffering from apparent puncture wounds to her abdomen. Meyer was transported to Wheaton Franciscan Medical Center for treatment of her injuries. During the investigation it was determined Meyer had been in the area with her boyfriend, 32 year old Trevor Lee Boenig when an argument ensued. At some point in the argument Boenig produced a knife, stabbed Meyer and fled the area. Officers located Trevor Boenig later and he was brought to the Waterloo Police Department for questioning. Meyer’s condition is not being released at this time and charges are pending for Boenig.
