On Tuesday, November 1, 2011, at approximately 10:20 AM, Waterloo Police responded to W.3rd Street and Cedar Street on report of a stabbing. Upon arrival, police found the victim, a 22 year old female, had been stabbed twice in the abdominal area. The victim was taken to Covenant Hospital where she was treated for her injuries.

On Thursday, November 3, 2011, Waterloo Police arrested Trevor Lee Boenig, age 32, of 121 Unity Square, Waterloo. He is being charged with Assault/Domestic Abuse, Willful Injury, and Going Armed with Intent. He is currently being held in the Black Hawk County Jail on $75,000.00 bond.
