On May 21, 2023, at approximately 8:04 PM Waterloo Police and Fire Rescue were dispatch to 217-D Fereday Court on a report of female unresponsive.  Waterloo Fire Rescue arrived and began performing life saving measures.  During this time, it was observed that the female had several knife wounds.  The female was transported by Waterloo Fire Rescue to Allen Hospital.  The female later died as a result of her injuries.  The name of the victim is not being released pending notification of family members.  This is an active case and if you have any information you are asked to contact the Waterloo Police Detective Division.  319-291-4340 #3 or Cedar Valley Crime Stoppers 855-300-TIPS.
