On Sunday July 6, 2025, at approximately 10:56 PM Waterloo Police Officers and Waterloo Fire were dispatched to the 1641 Mulberry Street on a report of a person who had been shot.  Officers arrived on scene and located a female victim who had been shot.  As officers and fire personal were treating the female victim, they were directed to 1724 Mulberry Street, where a male gunshot victim was located.  The male gunshot victim was pronounced deceased.  The female victim is being treated at a local hospital for non-life threatening injuries.  The identity of the victims are being withheld pending family notification.  The Waterloo Police Department is asking the public if they have any information to contact the Waterloo Police Detective Division 319-291-4340 #3 or Cedar Valley Crime Stoppers 855-300-TIPS.
